Product teams

Know what you are building, why, and who is on it, people and agents alike.

“What are we building, why, who is on it, and what shipped?”

When agents write part of the code, the plan has to hold their work as clearly as the team’s. FEATit keeps requests, decisions, plans and releases in one place, with every person and every agent named on the work they hold.

How it works for you

  1. Requests are clear before anyone starts

When someone files a request, FEATit can ask the few questions still open, in a few short rounds, and file a brief the person reads and confirms. Whatever stays unanswered is listed as open, so work does not start on a guess.

How a request becomes a clear brief
  2. Decisions keep their reasons, and plans hold people and agents

Whether to build, the priority and the reason are kept with the decision and linked to the work it started. The plan splits into features and tasks for people and agents side by side.

How decisions and plans are recorded
  3. Work that waits comes back by itself

An item can wait on other work, a date or an answer. It says why, leaves the to-do lists while it waits, and returns when the wait is over, so the roadmap stays honest without a weekly cleanup.

    How waiting work comes back
  4. Everyone who asked hears back

Each release knows its items and its code, and the customers behind those items hear what was done. Sales and support stop asking whether a request made it.

    How customers hear what shipped

A decision, with its reason

The decision to build stays on the idea with who made it, when, and why, beside the requests behind it.

Build it for release 2.5

7 paying customers asked. Weak receivables management is our top churn reason.

A week with FEATit, as product lead

Example flow
  1. Monday

You file payment reminders as an idea and link the 7 customer requests behind it. The founder decides to build it, and the reason goes on the record with her name.

  2. Tuesday

A spec agent drafts the plan from the requests and the decision. You change one task, then confirm it, and the work lands on the roadmap for the next release.

  3. Wednesday

The reminder settings screen waits on the API task. It shows as waiting, with why, and is off your team’s to-do list until the API is done.

  4. Friday

The API closes, and the waiting task comes back on its own. You check the board: who holds what, which agent is working and which waits for a person.

  5. Next Monday

Release 2.5 lists exactly the work and the code it contains. Every customer who asked is told, and one asks for SMS reminders, which you file as the next idea.

Questions

How do AI agents fit into a product team’s plan?
As assignees like everyone else. A task can be held by a person or an agent. The plan, the board and the release show both the same way, so there is no second list for agents.
Does the request check use AI, and can we switch it off?
Yes, it is FEATit’s own AI, and it is off until a work area switches it on. It runs on the model the work area chooses, and every one of FEATit’s own AI features can be switched off.
Can we keep our own statuses and process?
Yes. Each team names its own kinds of work and the statuses they move through, and sets the checks work must pass before it moves on.
